Engine 111 Runs Fatal House Fire in Beltsville

At approximately 0330 hours on Saturday morning, Engine 111 was alerted third due for the reported house fire in the 11400 block of Howard Ct. in Beltsville. First arriving units found a two-story single family dwelling with heavy fire showing. E111 arrived on scene shortly thereafter and established a secondary water supply and deployed a leader line to rear of the home over several fences and through a couple of adjacent backyards. During the initial stages of the incident, one occupant was located inside the home and declared deceased. A fire task force was alerted which brought additional units to the scene to assist. Engine 111 crew operated for approximately four hours before returning to service. This incident is being investigated by PGFD's Office of the Fire Marshall and PGPD.
