By FF/EMT Thomas Tanner
May 14, 2017

At or about 7:30am Branchville Ambulance 811B was dispatched along with units from Companies 812, 814 and 835 to the outer loop of I-495 near Kenilworth Avenue for a reported motor vehicle accident with one vehicle into the woods. The driver of a white Toyota Corolla lost control of his vehicle and struck a disabled and unoccupied minivan parked on the side of the outer loop and then the Corolla went off the road down an embankment. Crews from A835 and E835 assisted SQ814 with extricating the unconscious male driver, the female passenger reportedly self-extricated prior to units arriving. A835 and a medic unit transported the driver to Prince George's Trauma Center where he arrived in stable condition. A811B transported the passenger to the same location. She had non-life-threatening injuries.
