2017 Branchville Vol Fire Co. Open House
Dozens of residents from the College Park area came out Sunday Oct 15, to take part in the annual Branchville Volunteer Fire Company open house as a part of fire prevention week.
Activities included fire prevention demonstrations and literature, blood pressure checks, a bounce house, and face painter. The Branchville Ladies Auxiliary provided hot dogs and refreshments as well as a fundraising bake sale.
The highlight of the open house was when the volunteer firefighters from Branchville demonstrated how they extinguish a car fire. Also volunteers from Berwyn Heights Volunteer Fire Department demonstrated how they extricate people from vehicles by removing doors and roofs from vehicles when someone is trapped.
The membership of Branchville Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank Berwyn Heights Volunteer Fire Department for their assistance to make our event more enlightening to the public.
