
E811B and C811A on 3rd Due Commercial Building Fire
On Monday, October 25th around 2230 hours, E811B and VC811A were alerted to respond for a reported commercial building fire in the 5100 block of Cypress Rd in Beltsville. First arriving units found heavy fire showing from a fully-involved 1-story commercial building and began defensive operations. E811B operated as the the 3rd due engine while C811A assisted with command. Throughout the incident, E811B flowed 4 attack lines, along with supplying water to E831 and TK809’s ladder pipe. E811B’s crew pulled a line to help stop fire spread to structures in the rear and protected the units in front of the building. Co. 11 operated for approximately 4.5 hrs before returning to service.
