One Overturned on the Beltway
Around 3:00am the ambulance from Branchville and units from companies 812, 814 and 835 were dispatched to the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway, I-495/I-95, near Kenilworth Avenue for the report of one car overturned. VC835 and Branchville A811 arrived to find the driver of a 4 door Toyota sedan had, for reason(s) unknown, lost control of their vehicle and it overturned onto the fast shoulder clipping another vehicle in the process. While E812 provided barrier protection the driver of the Toyota was evaluated and transported by A811 to Prince George’s County Trauma Center with non-life threatening injuries while the occupants of the car that had been clipped were unharmed. The Toyota’s driver was wearing a seat belt which probably protected them from more serious injury.
