Overturned Tractor Trailer
On the afternoon of April 1st, the ambulance from Branchville responded as part of an assignment for an overturned tractor trailer on the outer loop of the capital beltway. First to arrive on the scene, CSU890 announced that there was a tractor trailer overturned and that it had rolled over onto a pickup truck. CSU890 assumed command, reporting that there was no one trapped and that he had three patients requiring treatment. A811B arrived on scene as the first transport unit and was directed by command to treat the passenger of the red pickup truck. All occupants self-extricated prior to the arrival of fire department resources, and suffered only minor injuries. A811B transported both the driver and the passenger of the pickup truck to an area trauma center where they were evaluated and treated for their injuries.
