Why Branchville?
Be part of one of the busiest engine companies in Prince George’s County. Our first due area consistently produces some of the most diverse, exciting, and complicated calls in the region.
Train and work with experienced firefighters and EMTs. All of our riding members are certified through the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute and are all passionate about passing on knowledge to new members. Our members also draw on their knowledge from outside Branchville, including their careers as professional firefighters and paramedics, nurses, physicians, computer programmers, scientists, business owners, and more – all to contribute to the good of our company.
Find brother/sisterhood. At Branchville, you don’t just join a fire company – you join a close-knit family. Here, you’ll make some of the closest friends in your lifetime. We also hold many social events throughout the year for our members.
Give back to your local community. Our top priority is expediently and competently assisting our citizens in an emergency. However, Branchville also gives back to our neighbors in many ways! We hold many public events for families throughout the year, including holidays such as Thanksgiving, Halloween, Easter, and more. We also participate in community events such as Wreaths Across America.
We just completed a renovation on our bunkroom and purchased brand new engines and ambulances. Our living quarters are spacious and all our apparatus is new!
Are you a student? We are located in College Park, Maryland – near many major colleges including the University of Maryland (UMD), University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), Prince George’s Community College, and more.
